Wittenborg University offers new Entrepreneurial programme

Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences has started to offer new Entrepreneurial Business Administration (EBA) Bachelor programme. Recently this programme was accredited by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA).

This IBA spesialisation is designed for the students, who wish to combine higher education with starting their own business. Since the beginning of the programme students start to gain essential skills and knowledge of entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship in business, develop leadership qualities and abilities to solve complex cases, learn to communicate in the multilingual environment, and explore every topic related to administration in business.

Study curriculum of the programme also includes lectures, delivered by guest entrepreneurs from The Netherlands, Europe, North America, and Asia, which make students familiar with the best business practises. Students then apply gained knowledge to their business projects in order to achieve desired goals and become experienced and competent entrepreneurs.

Taking into account every characteristic of this programme, accrediting organisation made the following conclusion:

“The FIBAA panel members see the strength of the programme in its positioning in the educational market, the internationality of teaching staff, the use of languages in the programme, the cooperation with enterprises, the selection procedure for applicants to the programme, in the additional learning opportunities, in the consideration of teamwork and conflict handling in the curriculum, the use of practical projects and guest lecturers, the business and teaching experience of teaching staff, coaching and support of students and teaching staff, in the facilities at Wittenborg, and with regard to external evaluations.”

Similar to other IBA programmes of Wittenborg University, EBA specialisation has 6 entry points through the year. For the first time this programme will start in September, 2013. Student, who want to switch to this specialisation, can do it with all credits transferred. Tuition fee of the Wittenborg Bachelor IBA programmes for the 2013-2014 year is set to € 6300 per year.

Wittenborg invites to the Open Day for the Master programmes on June 7th

Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences invites prospective students to come to the city of Apeldoorn and take part in the Open Day, scheduled on Friday, June 7th. This event will be dedicated to the Master programmes of the university, offered in cooperation with the School of Hospitality and Service Management of the University of Brighton, UK.

These joint programmes cover the fields of Hospitality, Tourism, and Event Management and lead to the double UK Master of Sciences and Dutch postgraduate degree. They are offered in two options, full-time and part-time, and take 1 and 2 years to finish respectively. Nearest start point is scheduled on September 2nd 2013.

Tuition fee of the programmes is set to 12,600 euro for the 2013-2014 academic year, although graduates of the Wittenborg International Business Administration (IBA) Bachelor programmes will be automatically granted with the 3,000 euro scholarship. Students of the part-time programmes will have to pay additional 1,500 euro registration fee.

MSc programmes of Wittenborg University will be especially interesting for the students, who completed or are going to complete Bachelor programmes in the fields of economics, business, hospitality, tourism, or leisure. While these programmes provide students with the advanced knowledge in services topics and give them a possibility of conducting academic research, they also allow to combine study with work and start their career without any delay.

At the Open Day interested students will be able to visit guest lectures, meet current university students and staff along with staff of the University of Brighton, and find answer for any question they may have.
